The Giacomo Leopardi School of Advanced Studies promotes Communities of Practice, spaces for dialogue and experimentation that bring together students, experts, associations, and national and international institutions. These initiatives aim to develop knowledge, awareness, and skills through interdisciplinary and collaborative approaches.

The “Writing Practices. Plural Narratives” Community of Practice is focusing on the biographical and social significance of storytelling, exploring its various expressive forms and the multiple languages through which it takes shape. The program includes a series of workshops and meetings that provide students with the opportunity to deepen their understanding of writing techniques, visual storytelling, and cultural representation.

Key activities include:

📷 Photographic Narrative with Francesca Tilio – A practical workshop exploring photography as a storytelling and self-expression tool.

📱 Digital and Social Media Writing with Massimo Pigliapoco and Martina Falà (Tonidigrigio) and the seminar “Short Digital Writings” with Francesca Chiusaroli (University of Macerata) – A deep dive into key digital language terms and the dynamics of major social media platforms.

🌍 Passengers – Telling the Contemporary World in collaboration with AccaFotografia, Iperborea, and The Passenger – A program on publishing, photography, and graphic design featuring experts such as Cristina Gerosa, Marco Agosta, Francesco Merlini (Prospekt), and Edoardo Massa (Tomo Tomo).

The seminar explores the relationship between justice, storytelling, and the construction of collective identity.

This diverse set of experiences fosters dialogue between disciplines, collaboration among students from different Schools of Advanced Studies, and the exploration of new storytelling methods.

Participation and accommodation are free of charge.

The initiative is carried out under the aegis of ASSI (Alleanza delle Scuole Superiori d’Ateneo) with the financial support of DM MUR 231/2023.
