Rights and Duties
Student Rights
Admission to the School grants you the following benefits:
- Free room and board
Regardless of your financial or family background, you will receive free food and accommodation at university facilities. - Financial and academic support
You are exempt from tuition fees for University of Macerata degree and master’s syllabuses, as well as the School’s specific syllabuses. You will also have access to dedicated teacher-tutors who can assist you in organizing your studies and research activities. - Access to facilities and resources
You will have full access to university facilities and services, alongside dedicated study and research spaces within the School.
- Diploma and Recognition
Upon successful completion of the syllabus, you will be awarded a School diploma (equivalent to a Second Level Master’s Degree). To qualify, you must acquire 60 internal credits from the School, and obtain your Master’s degree or an equivalent degree from the University within the designated timeframe. - Skill development opportunities
You will have the chance to participate in workshops and trips designed to enhance your soft skills. - International exposure
The School offers opportunities for international experiences and collaborations with prestigious institutions.
Student Duties
To progress to subsequent years in the syllabus, you are required to fulfil the following obligations:
- Academic Performance
Successfully pass all examinations included in your University study plan by October 31st each year, with a minimum score of 24/30 for each exam. - School Coursework
Attend and complete the School’s internal, disciplinary, and interdisciplinary courses, earning the required credits (12 ECTS) per year. - Language Proficiency
Complete English language courses within the designated timeframe:
–> B2 level within the first year, aiming for FCE certification.
–> C1 level within the fourth year, aiming for the CAE certification. - Computer Skills
Attend and successfully complete the ICDL course to obtain the relevant certification within your second year. - Foreign Language Exploration
Select and complete a foreign language course (as a second language) for at least 40 hours in your fifth year, aiming for a certificate of attendance.
- Research Activities
Actively participate in research activities, including studying and conducting research abroad. You will also be required to submit a progress report to the Board of Directors by October 31st of each year. - Annual Evaluation
Participate in an annual examination in November that assesses your research and training activities within the School. - Academic Standing
Maintain a minimum overall average of 27/30 across all graded examinations, including the annual School examination. - School Contribution
Contribute at least 10 hours per year to support activities within the School (such as secretarial or guidance duties). - Degree Completion
If applicable, obtain your 3 years Bachelor’s degree by October 31st of your third year. - Residency
Throughout the syllabus, you are required to reside at the School’s designated residence.
Students who satisfy all these requirements by the October 31st deadline will be confirmed for the following year and retain their associated rights.
